Dr. Jeffrey Marks - PEDIATRIC DENTIST

Dr. Jeff Marks graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in medical biology and chemistry and attended dental school at the University of Washington where he served as the student body president. He then completed his pediatric residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center with a specialized focus on brain research, craniofacial disorders, emergency trauma, and surgical care. Dr. Marks has attending privileges at Seattle Children's Hospital and volunteers in local community clinics. As a certified wilderness EMT, he spends a few weeks each year providing disaster relief as well as humanitarian dental and medical care (plus balloon animals!) for children in remote villages around the world. He enjoys golf, mountaineering, sea kayaking, and traveling with his family.

Dr. Haines - ORTHODONTIST

Dr. Haines is Alaskan Grown! He graduated from Bartlett High School in Anchorage and went on to Brigham Young University where he earned his bachelor's degree in Business Management. He attended Loma Linda University for both dental school and his orthodontic residency where he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society - an honor reserved for only the top 10% of dental students - and received numerous academic and leadership awards. Dr. Haines is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. He met his wife Jannah while in residency and they have two boys together... to add to her four! They have lived in California and Idaho since finishing school, but are glad to be moving back home! Since his graduation, Dr. Haines has had the unique privilege to associate for several talented and successful orthodontists. He has worked in both large practices and small ones. He has experience practicing orthodontics with a diverse set of treatment methods. This breadth of experience has given him a great deal of expertise and skills that produce remarkable results for his patients.

Dr. Todd Christensen

After achieving his bachelor’s degree in medical biology, he attended Dental School at the University of Connecticut and additionally completed a 2-year residency in Dental Anesthesiology at Loma Linda University in southern California.

In 2002, he started his practice in Arizona specializing in in-office anesthesia services for Pediatric dentists. He also created/taught at the University level in the hygiene clinic. In 2018 he transitioned back to full-time clinical general dentistry, and in 2022, after almost 22 years, he focused on General Dentistry for children and left behind the sedation/anesthesia specialty.

He enjoys working with older children and teens and looks forward to making great relationships here in Alaska.

Dr. Christensen was born into a family of 10 children in Farmington, NM, and raised in Mesa, AZ. After high school graduation, he completed a 2-year missionary service for his church in Peru. He then married his longtime friend Cheryl. Thier two sons have their own families now, and their daughter is one of the best sourdough bakers around! They have been blessed with 4 grandkids and love to be outside as much as possible.

When they have free time, they love both the beach and the mountains, road cycling, camping, hiking, and backpacking.

Dr. Hyrum Murdoch

General Dentist

Dr. Murdoch offers root canal treatment and wisdom teeth extractions. Dr. Murdoch received his dental education as a member of the inaugural class of College of Dental medicine Illinois at Midwestern University. Dr. Murdoch followed a career in dentistry after his studies in Exercise Science at Brigham Young University - Idaho. Dr. Murdoch is an active member of the American and Alaska State dental societies.

KC

Pedo/Ortho Dental Assistant

KC is our dental assistant. She earned her certificate in coronal polishing in 2008 and has been on our staff ever since. Fluent in Tagalog and English, she works hard to keep the office organized, clean, and inviting for all patients.

Hi, my name is Jacqueline and I’m a Dental Assistant. I joined the team back in May of 2020. I’ve been a Dental Assistant for about 5 years already! I’m working on continuing my education to be a licensed Dental Hygienist one day.

I grew up in Kodiak and enjoy the outdoors here. I love to travel and being around friends and family. I’m excited to meet you all.

Hi everyone, welcome to Kodiak. My name is Kathie Morin I was born and raised in Seward untill I left in 1984. I moved around the states visiting family off and on over the years until returning to Seward in 1987 where I met my now husband of 30 years. We moved to Kodiak in April of 1997 with the USCG where my husband served 7 years here until he retired in 2004 after 25 years in the Coast Guard. We have 3 kids, Rachel, Shilie and Joshua, all who grew up and graduated from Kodiak. I have two granddaughters, Rily and Merritt.

I have been at BridgeView Dental since June of 2015. I spend my time extra time doing voluntary activities when I can. I belong to the Lions Club and The Elks Lodge. Enjoying the beauty of Kodiak and going on long walks are some of things I like doing in my spare time.

Hi Kodiak! My name is Cynthia, and I am a dental hygienist. My husband is in the CG, and we have been stationed here since 2022. We have an amazing 10yo son and 2 wonderful dogs. I enjoy hiking, fishing, and reading... preferably in warm weather. More importantly, I like to make my patients feel welcome. Helping you maintain a healthy mouth and to enjoy coming to the dentist is always my goal.
